An intermediate piano solo arrangement of the hymn, “Master, the Tempest is Raging.”
What’s New?
Free vocal medley plus congregation
Free piano and organ accompaniment to the hymn, “Come, Follow Me.” Since this arrangement was done at the request of our ward Primary to use in this year’s Sacrament Meeting program, it also reprises the chorus from another song to be sung earlier in the program. The children sing the first verse of “Come, Follow Me,” then there’s an instrumental verse with a flute (or organ on a flute setting) descant, then the chorus of “I Know That My Savior Loves Me,” after which the organ joins the piano and the children and congregation all sing the final verse of “Come, Follow Me” together. In all, it’s just over three minutes in length (at least at the tempo I recorded it) and a nice way to end the program.
Award-winning song
“I Need Thee Every Hour/Abide With Me, ‘Tis Eventide” was given a Special Recognition award in the 2010 Church Music Submission and published in the Church’s online music library.
New piano solo arrangement
“My Hero Lies Over the Ocean,” a moving piano solo arrangement of “My Bonnie Lies Over the Ocean” dedicated to all who have loved ones serving overseas.
Gospel/blues piano solo
“Froggy Went A-Courtin’ (A Wedding Disaster Story).” Froggy and his bride may meet their demise by the end of the story, but you have to give him credit for style and originality, which I’ve tried to capture in this gospel/blues rendition for late intermediate piano solo.
New Age piano solo
“Puff, the New Age Dragon,” an intermediate piano solo dedicated to that lovable, frolicking dragon.
New hymn arrangement
“Come, Come, Ye Saints” arranged for intermediate piano solo.
Latin piano solo arrangement
“Twinkle, Twinkle, Estrellita” for piano solo. Arranged in a minor key and done in a style that takes you south of the border. Think Antonio Banderas in “The Mask of Zorro”…
Children’s song medley for piano solo
Another in my series of childhood songs put into new piano solo settings: “Michael Row, Row, Row Your Boat Ashore.” I don’t think I need to explain which two songs got merged here! It starts out slow and calm, but picks up the pace not too far in and gets your toe a-tapping.
Free piano accompaniment
A free piano accompaniment for “The Lord is My Shepherd,” to be used along with the vocal parts in the LDS hymn book (either the standard SATB version or the SSA women’s version). Link to online version of the vocal parts provided. Free download includes an accompaniment-only track.
Another free Christmas piano solo
Just in time for Christmas… “I Heard the Bells on Christmas Day” arranged for piano solo.
Free Christmas piano solo
Just finished my first Christmas piano solo, available for free download. “Deck the Halls” done in calypso style!
