In this follow-up to my first book of hymn arrangements, “Eventide,” I found it an enjoyable challenge to keep stretching myself and continue bringing originality and creativity to my piano solo arrangements while keeping a spirit about the music that fits well with the message of the text. To me, the Sabbath provides a much-needed opportunity to refocus and reconnect with the Savior, and to be reminded of my dependence on Him and His unconditional love for me. I think this collection of music is a good representation of that, and I tried to include not only some of the hymns and children’s songs that have been a regular part of my church worship throughout my life, but also some wonderful pieces from other sources that I connected with emotionally and wanted to share, and one original composition as well. What better way to rest from your cares and praise God than through good music! 55 pages. Intermediate to late intermediate level.
