Description

You may have learned “Are You Sleeping?” as a young child, or maybe you learned the original French version, “Frère Jacques.” Both versions are about brother John/Jacques, who has overslept and needs to get up. In this Latin American twist on the song, it’s brother Diego who needs to get out of bed and get a move on. ¡Despierta! is Spanish for “Wake up!” 4 pages. Performance time: approximately 2:20. Included in the Piano Remixes: Kid Songs Vol. 1 early intermediate songbook.
